Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a third year Biochemistry major with an English minor. I'm passionate about interdisciplinary learning and bridging the gap between the arts and sciences. I'm involved in breast cancer research and enjoy volunteering at a local hospital when I can. In my free time, I love doing photography, drawing, and reading/writing poetry!

Poetry is not just for sullen figures spitting slam through cigarette smoke and gritted teeth or for swooning lovers counting stars between the leaves of an aged tree. Poetry is for anyone and everyone and can serve as a valuable tool for communication with yourself and others. Take this workshop if you're interested in using language as an art, tool, or anything in between!
