NEPTUN Biography

Lying: a natural element of human existence. We all do it -- but how much do we KNOW about it? In this class you will learn all about lying -- its purpose, its affect on the body, and ways to detect it. Come join us for a unique opportunity to learn about the powerful phenomenon that has helped shape society as we know it!

Come learn how to stage fight scenes for movies and stage productions. We'll study different movie fighting styles including medieval theater (think Shakespeare) , swashbuckling (the great range of pirates, Jedis, Lord of the Rings and 3 Musketeers), hand to hand and stunt combat and then split into groups to choreograph our own action scenes. Join us for a class filled with fun and adventure, the only requirement is a desire to learn and have fun!

Come to Architecture and Design and see where art meets math and science! We'll spend the first half of the class learn a little bit about how to make strong buildings that won't fall down before building our own. Then we'll take a look at modern trends in architecture and put our skills to the test by designing our own homes/skyscrapers/castles/cloud cities/fancy igloos. Come to this class ready to let your imagination take you to new heights!

Welcome to SHIELD Academy, the home of the most advanced superhero technology. In this course, learn how superheroes get their powers and what how these technologies exist in our world! Topics will cover genetically enhanced super-soldiers, robotic suits and all sorts of nifty sci-fi gadgets. The world needs great minds like yours to keep it safe from danger, join us in building the next generation of heroes! (Note: This class will have some overlap with the Fall version, but also new, fun materials!)

Topics will include building your own Ironman suit, designing super-soldiers, and calculating the gravity from Krypton! At the end of this class, design your own hero and pitch it against the super-villains designed by college students.
